Europe’s leading global tech event, Viva Technology, which took place for four days, June 16-19, was “phygital”. Tech for the Environment and Tech for Society were two of the major themes showcased through a diverseness of activities.
Attending the festivities through the digital platform, I was captivated and exhilarated by the richness and ingeniousness of the exhibitors, innovations, solutions, sessions and speakers having as focus innovation and sustainability.
Watching so many businesses at VivaTech working towards innovation and growth through sustainability has been enlightening for my own development boost, gaining different perspectives for supporting entrepreneurs, not only to identify sustainability innovation opportunities but also to develop the critical skills to make them happen.
The most memorable moments that I have experienced at VivaTech 2021, showcasing innovation and sustainability are illustrated next.

To address environmental challenges without compromising economic growth, Bertrand Piccard and the Solar Impulse Foundation have identified 1000+ clean and profitable solutions. Solar Impulse Label awards efficient, clean and profitable solutions with a positive impact on the environment and quality of life. As an Expert with the Solar Impulse Foundation, I have helped to assess and label 1000Solutions for a clean and profitable future.
Solar Impulse Foundation and Bertrand Piccard will now push to scale and implement these 1000Solutions for the benefit of the environment and the economy.

From showcasing smart tech for green shipping or the environmental roadmap allying nature and creativity, around 40 inspiring sessions associated with innovation and sustainability were exhibited on the digital platform.
