One of my key areas of interest is keeping up with the latest in industry developments. Recently, while browsing the web for updates on the EU Digital Finance strategy, I came across something intriguing – the Financial Data Access (FIDA) framework, a legislative proposal unveiled by the European Commission on June 28, 2023.
✅ In simple terms, FIDA aims to create a framework through which data holders (such as banks and credit institutions) share the financial data they hold with other entities, including fintech companies.
✅ Furthermore, FIDA necessitates participation in Financial Data Sharing Schemes to regulate data access in alignment with EU rules. However, the proposal lacks clear guidelines regarding how these schemes will be set up.
✅ The European Commission’s FIDA proposal will undergo the regular legislative procedures within the EU, which typically span over a few years.

What caught my attention is how this framework could potentially impact my client companies, particularly those in the technology sector. There’s an opportunity for them to create innovative data integration solutions, enhance data security services, or develop compliance software. Yet, there are also challenges, such as compliance costs, the balance between data accessibility and privacy, and heightened competition within the evolving regulatory landscape.
I’m curious to hear from founders in the tech space – how do you think FIDA might affect your technology business? What opportunities or challenges do you foresee?
Throughout my journey of working with incredible teams, I’ve come to treasure the profound impact of positivity and appreciative approaches. These qualities are the bedrock of fostering engagement and empowerment among team members. Instead of offering grand motivational speeches, I’ve found that the magic lies in subtle yet powerful shifts in perspective.
Have you ever wondered what happens when teams learn to leverage their strengths and create patterns for success? It’s not about extraordinary achievements but rather the daily, intentional acts of acknowledging each other’s contributions.
Picture a workplace where every member is like a puzzle piece, contributing their unique strengths, and when put together, they create a bold and harmonious image of our preferred future. What would that image look like in your team? Have you ever stopped to consider the emotional impression it would leave on each team member?
Working with startups and small businesses has shown me that in these dynamic and often resource-constrained environments, cultivating a culture of positivity can be a game-changer. It’s about celebrating the small wins, acknowledging the efforts of each team member, and fostering a sense of collective achievement.
Reflecting on my own experiences, I’ve seen that this approach is not about ignoring challenges or glossing over difficulties. It’s about focusing on what’s working well and using it as a stepping stone for growth. It’s about asking ourselves what emotional resonance we want to create within our teams and how we can nurture it.
How have you seen positivity and appreciation shape your own team experiences?
